HONDA KEYS ARE KNOWN TO WEAR OUT OVER TIME. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE IGNITION & DOOR LOCK CYLINDERS. BY CUTTING A NEW KEY, THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT KEY INSERTION OR TURNING WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE. THIS COULD ALSO POTENTIALLY CAUSE THE ORIGINAL KEY NOT TO WORK EITHER. CAUSING THE IGNITION CYLINDER TO HAVE TO BE REPAIRED TO BE FUNCTIONAL. WE CAN REPAIR THE IGNITION AND DOOR CYLINDER BUT THIS WOULD BE AT AN EXTRA COST TO THE CUSTOMER.
POSSIBLE ADDED EXPENSE IS THE OWNER’S RESPONSIBILITY (IN SHOP AT 1899 MAIN ST) AND WAS DISCUSSED WITH ME
I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS MAY HAPPEN AFTER I LEAVE THE STORE AND THAT TOWING THE VEHICLE FOR REPAIR WOULD BE MY RESPONSIBILITY.
By signing this form, I accept responsibility and will not hold Carey My keys or any of its employees responsible. I understand that once the key is cut for my ignition, I have to purchase the key even if I decide not to have the ignition repaired and my original key doesn’t work anymore.
